Curly Koa, got what I could out of this root section, after removing all the rotten wood I managed to get this sweet little piece.
Somehow it reminds me of sea life.

Vessel and Spoon, II
This Hawaii Koa wood vessel is 9 x 20 x 20 inches. Another beautiful piece of curly Koa wood, do to this being a wind fall tree that had been laying for awhile it did have some decay issues to work around which affected the design process. I think the strongest feature on this piece is the detail given to the feet on this vessel, it brought a lot of movement into this piece.
