Rubber tree vessel from my exhibit Vessels that Dance, 50 Vessels from 50 different woods from around the world. 3.5 x 6 x 5 inches. Turned and carved with texture. One of the first pieces that i used pigments on. A very tropical feel to the piece.

Rare Hawaiian Kou wood calabash vessel. Hawaiian Kou wood was used by the Hawaiian Kings for their vessels. The trees were killed off by insects. I have only been able to get a small branch here and there over the years. I always keep these bowls for myself. I occasionally sell one to a Hawaiian family who wants one for a heirloom.
