I created this piece when i was doing a Fellowship in Philadelphia for the Museum for Art in Wood in 2009.
I turned this piece on 5 different centers on the wood lathe, then I textured the surface and used black wax on the piece. I found this piece of wood in a dumpster while doing one on my morning walks in downtown Philly.
