Its been 10 years since I did a large scale piece. I stopped doing them because of the physical toll they do on my body. But I got a call from a friend who was taking down a large Jacaranda tree. I was offered the stump, but i asked him if he was removing the root ball, he said yes and that's what I took.
This piece went from several hundred pounds down to its final weight of about 5 pounds. Wonderful figured golden yellow tones with highlights of blonds. Yes, it did wear me down physically and mentally, but well worth it. I love it!
