Large sculptural Jacaranda Vessel with Pheasant wood inlay

Towards the end when i was hand sanding the piece, I heard a pop, not a good sound in wood working. Especially after working on this piece for days. I originally stitched it up with a shoe lace to hold the piece together. The repair that you see now on the piece is an ancient Hawaiian repair process called "Kepa Kepa", which means to "turn back upon it's self"
