oak platter
I made this Oak platter in 2009 at my fellowship at the Museum for Art in Wood in Philadelphia from a 275 year old piece of oak.
Sometimes simple can be beautiful. This piece has been display in my home since 2009 as a wall piece. While working this wood, I found a hand made nail in the wood. I would like to believe that this tree might have has a copy of the Declaration of Independence nailed onto it.
